Sightseeing in Okayama
From HyogoAJET
Kurashiki (倉敷)
Kurashiki is a historic city, and is home to the Ohara Museum of Art and the Bikan historical area. Highly recommended for anyone passing through or spending time in southern Okayama.

Naoshima (直島)
Though technically part of Kagawa Prefecture, the island of Naoshima is much closer to and is a short ferry-ride away from Uno (宇野港) in Tamano, Okayama. The island is small enough that you can walk to any point in about 30minutes, or you can rent a bicycle while you are there. An art lovers dream, the must see spots are the Benesse House, the Art House Projects, and the Chichu Art Museum. Also, a lot of the buildings on the island were designed by architect Kazuhiro Ishii.
